Welcome to FireCloud. FireCloud provides learning and formation opportunities which celebrate the Catholic faith and inspire people to use their gifts and talents to build a more courageous and loving world. We work with children, teens, young people, adults and older people; from toddlers to 90+ years of age. We work in community, school and parish settings to offer a whole range of opportunities for people to experience hope and joy. We are based in Clydebank, with some projects that reach across Glasgow and central Scotland. Our small staff team and wonderful volunteers give thousands of hours each year to make good things happen. Here’s what we do:
We seek to share loving hospitality through social events and outreach. We try to have something for everyone, especially those who might feel isolated; quizzes, afternoon tea, our whisky club, sharing recipes through our cookbook, nursing home visits, community fairs…you’ll see us there.
We create imaginative opportunities to hear real-life stories from people who cherish Christianity and strive to live out these values in their everyday lives.
We create and lead retreats and workshops designed to deepen faith and inspire the hopeful search for God. We deliver these experiences in schools (for primary, secondary and staff), parishes and community settings.
We create opportunities during Advent, Lent and all year round where people can participate in prayerful experiences in the Catholic tradition. We love what music can do for the soul; we offer development for musicians interested in growing their faith.
We design and deliver a range of learning initiatives to inspire music, song and dance in all kinds of settings; our community choir, a Capella singers, folk musicians and community concerts all share and celebrate the great gifts and talents of local people all around us.
We provide opportunities for people to develop their creativity and learn new art, craft and design skills through imaginative upcycling projects.
We write, direct and perform original stories and dramatic performances that celebrate faith, hope and love in creative ways. We produce our annual nativity, musical passion plays and storytelling experiences for children, families and the young at heart.
We support local volunteers to grow in their sense of vocational purpose through a range of training, mentoring and development. We provide internship placements for young adults who want to enhance their skills through work experience. We offer leadership opportunities for people seeking to use their talents in the service of others and strategy facilitation to organisations who want to make things better for people.
